Asia Online has been fortunate to attract two world famous linguistic explorers to host the mailing list and share their thoughts and insights with us.

Dr. Goover is a renowned world explorer and Dr. Weagle is a former linguistic professor. Both graduated from Dunnowotusayin University in the outbacks of Australia. Both have now retired as from the translation industry and are exploring the world in search of new linguistic knowledge and facts. Each month they will be discussing their latest exploits and globe trotting, providing subscribers with global and industry insights from a linguistic perspective.

With the latest in camera technology from Hello Kitty, Dr. Goover will also be snapping translation examples from the real world - some of which have gone horribly wrong. While sometimes funny, such linguistic blunders can not only cause embarasement, they can cost money, market share and credability.

Dr. Weagle has less of a sense of humor and will look at more serious linguistic issues that are more tightly aligned with improving machine translation systems across many different language pairs. Dr. Weagle will provide guidance and help your organization to learn more about the translation process and what it takes to build a solid, high quality translation engine.

Asia Online team members and partners will also be joining the mailing list and will provide freqent industry analysis and industry insights.
